The hatchery project is considered one of the main objectives for which the company was established. With the commencement of production, the company added a new and important link in the poultry industry value chain in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The first batches of chicks appeared at the beginning of November 1992. The hatchery operates with a production capacity of approximately 9,580,000 chicks, utilizing incubation and hatching machines from leading international manufacturers, while the eggs are also imported from global companies. Strategic Objective: The strategic mission of this project is to provide a local supply of high-quality chicks suitable for farm rearing, which can be transported to farms easily and without causing stress to the chicks, and at the appropriate time.

Delmon Poultry Company’s feed mill was established in 1982 and is located in the Mina Salman area. The feed mill is a key pillar of the company, as it supplies broiler and layer farms with various types of feed. It also provides a wide range of feed products for livestock, birds, and different animals across the Kingdom of Bahrain. The mill consists of two production lines with an operational capacity of up to 90,000 metric tons per year, while the current production rate is approximately 30,000 metric tons annually of various feed mixtures, all manufactured from 100% plant-based raw materials.

The types of feed produced at the mill include:

  • Broiler chicken feed (various types)

  • Layer chicken feed (various types)

  • Pigeon feed

  • Bird feed (general)

  • Cattle feed

  • Sheep feed

  • Zoo animal feed

  • Quail feed

The mill’s management follows a strict policy of maintaining the highest quality standards by regularly inspecting and testing the produced feed in specialized Arab and international laboratories to ensure compliance with the required specifications.

The poultry slaughterhouse, located in the Hamala area, was constructed in 1983 with a production capacity of 18,000 chickens per day. In 2010, the company increased the slaughterhouse’s production capacity to 30,000 chickens per day. Live chickens are received from broiler farmers who are accredited by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, totaling 37 poultry farms. The chickens are slaughtered by national staff in accordance with Islamic Sharia, after which they are packaged and weighed automatically using modern and hygienic technology. The products are then marketed locally under the brand name “Mazra’a Chicken.” The Livestock Directorate at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning supervises poultry farms, while the Ministry of Health conducts periodic inspections of the slaughterhouse to ensure the safety of the chicken and its parts. The company’s share of chicken sales represents approximately 30% of the total chicken sold in the local market of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and demand for the company’s poultry products continues to grow.
